In the conditions of Uzbekistan it is light-loving, relatively moist, demanding to fertilizers and soil fertility. Prefers relatively light soils. In the first month of life there is weak competition with weeds. When transplanted, the seedlings go through a full cycle of growth and development, the seeds of the cool years as a plowed annual crop do not have time to ripen or their yield decreases. In the spring, there is a mass germination of seeds that were spilled on last year's uncultivated crops. To get the raw material (leaves), the seeds of the plant are planted in the open field. It should be borne in mind that its seedlings germinate in the first days of May, during the first month of life the seedlings develop slowly. Therefore, it is necessary to plant in areas well cleared of weeds. Areas vacated by annual crops are very suitable for this plant. Depending on the level of soil fertility, during the autumn plowing, 80 to 100 tons of manure and 80 kg to 150 kg of phosphorus are applied per hectare. The soil is dug to a depth of 25 cm. In the spring, to eliminate weeds, it is chiseled twice at intervals of 20 days and the crop is leveled. Seeds are sown in the tenth day of April, in a well-drained, fine sandy soil in a vegetable sowing equipment with row spacing of 50 cm. 4-5 kg of seeds are used per hectare, the seeds are sown at a depth of 0.5 cm. For a flat planting, the seeds are mixed with sand or rotten-powdery manure in a ratio of 1/100 before planting. In order to obtain one-way watering cans, okuchnik is attached to the planting equipment. Small branches are taken for planting.
