Researchers from the Tashkent Botanical Garden organized a scientific trip to the territory of the Ugam-Chatkal National Nature Park in the Tashkent region.
During the scientific trip, the natural distribution areas of species of the genera Rheum L., Poa L., Phleum L., Fritillaria Tourn. ex L., Tulipa L., Allium L., Rumex L., Dinathus L., and Asparagus L., which are present in the natural flora of the region, were studied.
GPS coordinates for the natural distribution areas of the plants were also recorded.
During the scientific trip, seed samples, bulbs, and live specimens of promising plant species were collected and brought to the Tashkent Botanical Garden for introduction.
Particular attention was paid to the collection of live bulbs from the genera Fritillaria Tourn. ex L., Tulipa L., and Allium L., as well as the preservation of Asparagus brachyphyllus Turcz., Ephedra equisetina Bunge, and Thalictrum minus L. in the Botanical Garden collection.
