On the eve of the Navruz holiday, a Sumalak festival was held in the Tashkent Botanical Garden.
In order to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PP No. 68 dated February 21, 2025 “On the preparation and holding of the national holiday of Navruz in 2025”, in accordance with the order of the President of the Academy of Sciences No. 3-34 dated February 28, 2025, on the eve of the Navruz holiday, the Sumalyaka holiday was organized in the Tashkent Botanical Garden. In accordance with national values and traditions, as well as the meaning of today's reforms, researchers and specialists jointly held this holiday in the Botanical Garden. The event consisted of two main parts: cooking a sumalak and a collective treat. Since ancient times, this holiday has fostered a sense of unity, cohesion and harmony among people, preserving these values in our days.
