On March 31, 2026, in order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set out in the state scientific programs of the Dendrology Laboratory of the Tashkent Botanical Garden named after Academician F.N. Rusanov under the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to further develop scientific and practical cooperation with higher educational institutions, a scientific excursion was organized with the participation of members of the “EcoTech” club and professors and teachers of the Fergana State Technical University.
During this excursion, the director of the Tashkent Botanical Garden S.Kh. Abdinazarov provided detailed information about the plant species stored in the “Allium Global Garden” collection, their geographical origin, introduction features and scientific significance. The participants were provided with explanations on the bioecological characteristics of plants brought from different floristic regions, adaptation processes and introduction results.
During the excursion, junior research workers of the Dendrology Laboratory D.A. Hamrayeva, D.A. Abdullayev and Sh.A. The Turdiboyevs presented the expositions consisting of tree and shrub species belonging to the floristic regions of East Asia, the Far East, Central Asia, Europe-Crimea-Caucasus and North America on a scientific basis. They provided extensive information about the systematic position of these species, their ecological requirements, the level of introduction and their prospects for landscaping.
Also, the junior research fellow of the Dendrology Laboratory, M.B. Turaboyev, introduced the participants of the excursion to the scientific herbarium materials stored in the Tashkent Mycological Herbarium (TASM) fund. Explanations were given about the formation, scientific significance, rules for storage and use of the herbarium fund, and practical assistance was provided to the participants in conducting scientific research based on existing samples and in the process of copying them.
Within the framework of this excursion, it was planned to expand scientific cooperation between the parties, including:
conducting joint scientific projects in the field of dendrology, introduction and floristic research;
organizing internships and internships for students and young researchers;
An agreement was reached on establishing the exchange of herbarium materials and scientific information;
to hold joint events in the field of environmental education and greening.
This act was drawn up to confirm the implementation of the above-mentioned scientific excursion and cooperation activities.
