International cooperation is expanding
Tashkent Botanical Garden named after academician F.N. Rusanov of the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, represented by the director Ph.D. Abdinazarov Sodikjon Khaliknazarovich, and the Astana Botanical Garden of the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the director Ph.D. Razhanov Medeu Razhanovich signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the city of Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, September 11, 2024.
The Astana Botanical Garden is a branch of the Republican State enterprise with the right of economic management, the Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction of the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Astana Botanical Garden was officially opened by the Head of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev on July 2, 2018.
The delegation of the Tashkent Botanical Garden named after academ. F.N. of the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan included the director of the botanical garden, Ph.D. Abdinazarov Sodikjon Khaliknazarovich, head of the laboratory of dendrology of the botanical garden, Ph.D. Temirov Eldor Ergashboevich, head of the laboratory of biotechnology of the botanical garden, Ph.D. Mustafina Feruza Usmanovna and junior researcher at the laboratory of biotechnology of the botanical garden Zhuraeva Hanifabonu Kobil kizi.
The delegation of the Tashkent Botanical Garden visited the laboratories of the Astana Botanical Garden, the greenhouse, the herbarium, seed bank, and acquainted with the collections of the Astana Botanical Garden. Within the framework of the Memorandum, joint projects will be carried out, articles will be published, joint expeditions to study flora, as well as preserve and enrich the collection of botanical gardens.
