Botanical description of the plant
Peony (Paeonia) - perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the family of peonies, sometimes a group of semi-shrubs and bushes, flowering plant. Herbaceous Chinese or sutrang medicinal Sallagul (P. of fi cinalis) and the root is strongly developed, thick. The branches are erect, 30-120 cm, often unbranched. The leaves are linear, green or blue, reddish or dark purple in autumn. The flowers are large (up to 20 cm in diameter), solitary, white, yellow, pink, red, many fragrant. Basically, avg. end - cent. The heads are planted with zero dividing the root. The newly planted plant blooms in May-June, 2-3 years after planting. It is grown in backyards and field gardens. A semi-shrub S (P. suffruticosa) is planted from the shrub species, the roots of the herbaceous Sallagul species are propagated by grafting, pruning, cuttings and seeds. Apr. It blooms in June.
