Russia, Caucasus, Ukraine, Siberia, Occurs in Europe and Asia. Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania are included in the Red Cross.
Perennial herb. The stem is hairy. The leaves are simple, pointed and hairy. The tufts are white to yellow. The fruit is a white walnut. Light-loving xerophyte plant.
It is used as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, laxative.
Can be grown in open and shady places. Not so demanding on soil fertility. During the dry period should be watered frequently. Seeds bloom in June-July, 110-130 days after sowing.
