The North American exposition was established in 1950 and covers an area of 9 hectares. This dendroflora is located in the northeastern part of the Botanical Garden. The plants were propagated by the organizer of the garden, academician F.N. Rusanov, by bringing seeds and vegetative parts of plants from the northern regions of America. The dendroflora includes North American, Canadian and partly Mexican species of trees and shrubs. The North American exposition currently contains 861 living specimens of trees, shrubs and lianas belonging to 38 families, 61 genera and 184 species.
