At the invitation of the General Secretary of the Eurasian Association of Botanical Gardens, Director of the Botanical Garden of Tver State University Y.V. Naumtsev, the Deputy Director (PhD) of the Tashkent Botanical Garden named after Academician F.N. Rusanov at the Institute of Botany of the Republic of Uzbekistan S.S. Nosirov and specialist J.M. Nabiev are participating in the III International Traditional Conference of the Eurasian Association of Botanical Gardens "Life in Harmony: Botanical Gardens and Society - Zinc Gardens."
This conference is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Botanical Garden of Tver State University and is taking place from July 14 to 21 of this year in the city of Tver, Russian Federation.
In addition, during the business trip, it is planned to exchange experience in other Botanical Gardens of the Russian Federation, study herbariums and exchange collected plant materials, as well as conduct short-term internships.
The following work is expected to be carried out during the business trip:
1. Exchange of collected plant materials:
Selection of collection plant species suitable for the climate;
Discussing the conditions for plant introduction in both gardens;
2. Exchange of experience and scientific and practical training:
Studying the experience of the Tver Botanical Garden in landscape design, ecosystem restoration, and exhibition organization;
Analysis of modern approaches to the protection of plant resources of Uzbekistan and Russia;
3. Determination of areas of further cooperation:
Development of a plan for bilateral internships, joint expeditions, and scientific publications in the field of botany;
Agreements on the preparation of joint international scientific seminars and exhibitions planned for 2026.
4. Conducting a short-term internship.
The Congress continues its work and serves as an important platform for international scientific cooperation.
