Flowering plants in the Greenhouse.

   Today, the Botanical Garden's greenhouse displays plant species that bloom from late February to early March. They add special beauty to our greenhouse with their beauty and decorativeness.

  Loropetalum Chinense (R.Br) Oliv. - Hamamelidaceae family. Natural habitat - China. Evergreen shrub up to 1 m high with spreading branches. Leaves are oval or ovoid, 2.5-6 cm long, light green. Flowers are spider-like, belt-shaped, sweetish-aromatic, bright red, pink, white, collected 3-6 pieces in dense shields along the entire length of the shoot; blooms in spring-summer. Prefers loose, nutritious, neutral soils. It loves light, but can grow and bloom abundantly in partial shade. It can withstand temperatures down to -15°C without damage. It is easily shaped by pruning, including in the bonsai style. In landscaping, the more cold-resistant red-leaved variety of loropetalum is often used - Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum Yieh.

  Cestrum (Latin: Cestrum)-is a genus of evergreen shrubs and small trees of the Solanaceae family with tubular flowers that appear abundantly in the summer. The range of the genus is the tropics and subtropics of America. The total number of species is about one hundred and fifty. Most species are tall shrubs, similar to jasmine, with stems up to 2-3 m in height. During flowering, cestrum is almost completely covered with bright brushes of flowers. There are various hybrid forms in culture. Cestrum is an unpretentious houseplant, recommended for growing in cool, well-lit rooms with moderate humidity.
