Main goals and objectives of the business trip to the city of Khorog, Republic of Tajikistan, at the invitation of the Kh. Yusufbekov Pamir Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
The Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences and the Tashkent Botanical Garden under its structure, as a scientific institution of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, is one of the leading centers in the field of studying and preserving plant diversity in Central Asia. The new generation of botanical research carried out in Central Asia, including modern floristic research, plant introduction, conservation of endangered and endemic species, as well as the implementation of ecological and genetic monitoring work, are connected with the current activities of this organization and its authority in Central Asia. Recognizing the above, employees of the Institute and the Botanical Garden are increasingly being invited to scientific conferences on biodiversity held in Central Asia and neighboring countries. Director of the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Acad. K.Sh. Tojibayev and the director of the Tashkent Botanical Garden, Candidate of Biological Sciences. S.Kh. Abdinazarov is participating in the international conference "Biological Diversity of Mountain Ecosystems in the Context of Global Climate Change," dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the A.V. Gursky Pomir Botanical Garden at the H. Yusufbekov Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the 70th anniversary of Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Davudsho Navruzshayev. Therefore, participation in this conference is very important for the Institute of Botany and the Botanical Garden.
In addition, during the conference, it is planned to meet with the heads of other foreign research institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, studying the biodiversity of Central Asia, and get acquainted with the research and practical work process.
The issues planned for discussion will play an important role in the future successful activities of the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences, in particular, the Laboratory of the Flora of Uzbekistan.
