Sodiqjon Abdinazarov, Director of the Tashkent Botanical Garden named after Academician F.N. Rusanov at the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Eldor Temirov, Head of the Dendrology Laboratory, are participating in the congress organized on June 9-13, 2025, in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. This event is being held in cooperation with the Korean National Arboretum (KNA). Experts, researchers, teachers, and heads of botanical gardens around the world, as well as international organizations, including UNESCO, are participating in this congress.
Currently, the main goal of the congress is to preserve the biodiversity of Central Asia, as well as to preserve biodiversity and introduce best educational practices in botanical gardens. The signing ceremony of the "Green Road" project, a multilateral memorandum of understanding, took place at the Congress on June 8, 2025, the day before the official start of the ICEBG. Additionally, the merger of 11 CABCN partner institutions, including two new members, namely:
- Astana Botanical Garden (Kazakhstan)
- Baekdudaegan National Forest (South Korea)
This expanded cooperation will serve as a key foundation for further strengthening joint efforts to preserve biodiversity.
